I have two kids that have attended AVA since it opened. I love the curriculum offered at the school. The ability groupings allow kids to learn at their own pace. I was worried about my oldest in middle school last year, but the new principal, Mr. Barber has made some great improvements this year. Both of my kids are learning a lot and love going to school!

My three children have been at Aspen View Academy for 4 years. They have all grown and are thriving in their lives and academically. I look forward to seeing how my oldest daughter transitions to high school next year.

I attended this school for 2.5 years and unfortunately, my final year, as an eighth grade student, was horrible. I have a learning disability, and the staff made hardly any effort to help better my learning experience. Because of my learning ability and severe pressure from teachers, I became suicidal and depressed, because of this school. I had to drop out. My parents contacted the staff multiple time asking that they give me space, and they refused. The staff will not cater to a students needs, if they require more attention than someone with dyslexia. Do not send you child here if they have any learning disabilities. This is not a safe atmosphere for such children. If your child doesn't have any difficulties when it comes to learning, I still wouldn't suggest this school because the atmosphere of this school is somewhat depressing. Teachers do not discipline children, and do not take student seriously at all. Students have not been treated well by teachers, and bullying is frequent among the middle schoolers. The homework load is far to much for and kid to be taking on, I couldn't imagine a highschooler attempting to complete as much given to grades seven and eight. This school won't offer your child he nicest possible learning experience possible. A much more enjoyable education could be found at any other school in Castle Rock or elsewhere.
