CVHS has greatly improved in the past 10 years. There are multiple academies (Agriculture, Public Service, Hospitality, CISCO, Digital Design, Health, Business); there is a strong AVID team, and there are over 50 clubs and student organizations. 13 different AP courses are offered: English Language, English Literature, European History, United States History, Government, Macroeconomics, Environmental Science, Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Psychology, Spanish Language and Spanish Literature. The sports teams are winning division titles and advancing in CIF annually. The Visual and Performing Arts department is traveling around the country and participating in festivals and competitions for marching band, concert band, Colorguard, dance team, and fine arts. There is an annual musical hosted by the drama, dance, and choral teachers. The school has opened up a Wellness Center for mental health support. Overall there have been a lot of changes that I have seen since my kids started at the school.

The quality of the education isn't so great, other schools in the valley provide better education. Many teachers do not teach what they have to and just watch videos in class. Although there are also good teachers. The counselors only pay attention to the top of the class students.
