This school is academically lacking, too focused on publicity rather than dealing with the students they already have. The 5th grade is strong academically, a new teacher was hired for the 2017-18 school year. She is exactly what this school needed. 1-2 and 3-4 classrooms need to beef up the curriculum; reading skills, writing, math, science and social studies. The middle school is barely surviving. This school has potential but it will take a lot of gumption to get it back on track.

Good school. Great teachers. Cool that the kids have performances at Crooked Tree Art Center and Bay View Auditorium.

Concord Academy of Petoskey is a great school. My children love going there and the academics and teachers are outstanding. We are now a STEAM school, the kids a solid education in mathematics and science along with the arts. My eldest was very shy and scared to go school, but now she is confident and thriving at Concord. Change is good and everything done at this school is for the best interests of the children. Come visit, we would love to have you. :) (mother of 3) I also love that I as a parent get to personally know other parents and can be freely involved in the schools activities.

It breaks my heart to see what has happened to this school since the founding leadership left. It went from a warm, welcoming, school family, to an exclusive, hostile failure. The current School Board is arrogant enough to believe they can manage the school, when their job is to govern from the vision of the school. The 'Interim' Director has NO arts background and no understanding of the needs of creative children. The Vision and Mission of this school are lost. Do not be fooled by their past record.
