School Notes

Focus Academy began in 2012 as the dream of a small group of parents of children with special needs: a school wheretheir children would feel valued, supported, and not just encouraged, but expected to succeed. A school where their children's strengths were recognized, where they were prepared not just for academic success, but for a full and satisfying future with meaningful work, social success, and lifelong friendships. Focus Academy is built on that dream. And through collaboration and a sense of partnership with parents and families, Focus Academy enables each student to make that dream their reality.

Our mission:
  • To provide our students with an educational community where they feel valued, supported and successful
  • To create a learning environment where success is expected
  • To provide our students with rich and varied opportunities for individual development; social interaction and connection; relationship building and social emotional growth
  • To provide our students with the necessary tools to move beyond the classroom and to become active members of the community

School Reviews

This school has helped my kid in a short period. We''re not even a year into this school and my kid has blossomed, the sensitivity is slowly getting overcome, my kid''s memory has tremendously improved (guess it''s how the teachers approach their student's learning style), and confidence shoots up the roof. I am more than happy we found this school and got accepted. I look forward to many more years to be with this school.
