Principal is on her fourth Assistant Principal in her tenure at Portage Park. They leave because of the hostile environment created by the Principal. She is a poor leader and creates a hostile work environment for the faculty and learning environment for the students. The teachers there are, for the most part, caring and great educators. Unfortunately, the school will not improve until this Principal is gone and someone who cares more about the environment, culture, and students than themselves is in that position.

This is not a good school my grandkids have been coming here for years, and they have been passing them and they don't even know there work how are you going to pass a child. That can't even read and also my grandson is in 6th grade and the school hasn't even said anything about him not having his 6th grade shot yet and the lunch food is horrible they need to feed these children better and I'm sure not the only parent saying this.
