We are from the NYC area and are new to Jackson. WE LOVE THIS SCHOOL. I feel my daughter is with a group of bright, polite, and inclusive children. I am always greeted with kindness by students AND staff. They do exciting extra activities with the kids. There is a band, string, art, cultural celebrations, stem, and even a garden club (with a future kids' garden on site!). They are working on having art exhibits within the school by loaning works of art....how cool is that? Test scores are way above the area schools too, the teaching staff knows how to make them succeed for sure! If you want a school that is doing something ''different''....you have to check this Sharp Park out!

Went to pick my step son up from school, like I do once a week but this time I had a problem. Backstory: my step sons grandmother works there as a teacher(moms mom). Anyway, I go inside to pick him up and his teacher asked me to go to the office to see if I was on the list, which in previous years I was on it and was able to pick him up not problem. I told his teacher this, and she said oh he must have "snuck by". Not something a parent wants to ever hear, especially when they are leaving. They play sides when it comes to families and I will NOT bring my children there ever!! Not a happy mom.
