Our new principal is caring, thorough, and gets things done. And the teachers are invaluable. I have been happy since my child started at Sherman in Kindergarten and will now enter third grade. Academics are solid and all the teachers go the extra mile. In fact, this past Spring, since we started online learning because of Covid, my child's teacher went to each of her student's home to write on the sidewalk, in front of our homes, Hi, I miss you! Also, great PTA!

New principal is more interested in increasing test scores instead of actually teaching the children skills. All teaching is geared for academic testing that happens during the year. High turnaround of teachers - this past school year saw a loss of about half their staff. Also special education in this school is overlooked. One of the classrooms was closed due to not being able to find an appropriate teacher. Not much in diversity in this school - either Caucasian or Asian.

The school has very stringent academics and good quality music and extracurriculars and principal. We were disappointed with the first grade teacher Jeremiah Jeffries because he was very lazy. Except for that, it is a very good school.
