I attended WHS, and it was one of the best four years of school in my life, they'll do anything to help you pass each grade.

Academic quality suffers from school refusal to allow students full use of 21st century technologies. Many teachers mired in administrative 70's era policies and mindset. Extracurricular activities are only accessible to those who can afford to pay thousands of dollars for them. Facilities are a little better than some other public high schools in the area. Parent involvement is restricted by administration. Many teachers are inaccessible to students and parents alike.

Westlake High School is an amazing school. Kis who are interested in learning will be very academically challenged in the honors classes. The sports and music programs are outstanding. People move from from many other areas to attend schools in the Conejo Valley and Westlake High School upholds that reputation. We would choose this school over Oaks Christian anyday.

If one likes being w/ a racist, ignorant, arrogant, over-competitive, self- centered, uninviting snob then W.H.S is the best school for you because there are plenty of individuals like that. Oh, and if your son/daughter is planning on taking honors this year brace yourselves for they will experience the mental abuse of your lifetime because here at Westlake we like to prepare our students for life by completely lowering their self-esteems. Westlake high school's campus is pretty on the outside but what goes on inside is ugly... just like their students.
